Robin believes that the most valuable time for learning tango is during practice. He was instrumental in the drive to make "practicas" events where people really worked on getting better, more comfortable and more musical rather than just being cheaper more casual milongas. He created and worked relentlessly at the now legendary practica at Empire Dance. The majority of good dancers dancing in New York today developed their skills there.
Robin hosts a practica after his classes at Princeton University (on Mondays) and Columbia/Barnard (on Wednesdays).
Every Thursday at 9:30pm is Robin's Practica at Stepping Out (37 West 26th St., 9th Floor).
